Our Mission

To make youth soccer accessible to every child in Los Angeles, regardless of family income, background, or zip code.

Nordic Soccer Alliance was founded with a simple belief: every child deserves to play.

Soccer is the world's most popular sport — and one of the most accessible. All you need is a ball and a field. But in Los Angeles, even that basic opportunity has become a privilege. Club soccer costs thousands of dollars a year. Recreational leagues charge hundreds. Equipment, travel, and tournament fees add up fast. For families in underserved communities, organized soccer is simply out of reach.

We're changing that.

Nordic Soccer Alliance is the 501(c)(3) nonprofit arm of Nordic Soccer, a family-owned youth soccer organization serving the San Fernando Valley. Through our after-school programs, scholarship fund, and talent pathway, we bring professional soccer coaching directly to school campuses — where kids already are, where parents don't need to drive, and where cost doesn't have to be a barrier.

Our programs cost just $60 per month for families who can afford it. For families who can't, we provide full and partial scholarships funded entirely by donations from our community. No child is ever turned away.

But access isn't just about recreational play. Talent exists in every neighborhood. Some of the most gifted young players in Los Angeles will never be seen by a club coach because their families can't afford the entry fee. Nordic Soccer Alliance identifies those players through our school programs and provides fully funded pathways to competitive training and league play. We don't just put kids on the field — we make sure the best players get the opportunity they deserve, regardless of where they come from.

The FIFA World Cup comes to Los Angeles in June 2026. SoFi Stadium will host 8 matches, including the USA opener. Soccer is about to become the center of the world's attention — right here in our backyard. We want every child in this city to feel part of that moment. Not as spectators. As players.

Our Values

Access

Cost should never determine whether a child gets to play. We remove financial barriers through scholarships, donated equipment, and on-campus programming.

Excellence

Affordable doesn't mean low quality. Our coaches are background-checked, CPR-certified, concussion-trained, and mandated reporter certified. Every session has a plan.

Equity

We actively recruit girls into soccer through dedicated girls-only classes. We serve schools in underserved neighborhoods. We go where the need is greatest.

Who We Are

Nordic Soccer Alliance was founded by Teddie Bergman and Andreas Norberg — first-generation Americans, lifelong soccer players, and San Fernando Valley residents who saw firsthand how many kids in their community had no access to organized soccer.

What started as a single after-school program at one LAUSD school has grown into a network of 15+ campuses serving over 1,000 students. Every single school we've partnered with has invited us back. Our 100% retention rate isn't a marketing stat — it's proof that the model works.

Nordic Soccer Alliance is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible.
